TMEA - listening

I went to a slightly confusing session on listening examples, etc, etc,
Not sure it required an hour of my time.

I suppose the most important point was to choose listening examples through and connected by music already known to the children. Makes sense to me.

Examples:

Class sing London Bridge is Falling Down
Class listens to variation (found on iTunes)

Class sings song
Relate song to book with pictures after

Find a folk song that is in a classical piece

Other examples in the book Kodaly Today

Interviewing.

So, I will not be returning to the music room next year, but I do plan on coming back someday. I have been thinking of things to help my student teacher in the interview process and I know I will need these tips again in the future for myself. I am by no means an expert, but no one reads this blog anyway, so no worries. They might ask you to sing in the interview. They might ask you your best and worst qualities. They WILL ask you how you deal with classroom management. give detailed answers.
